In December 2018 John Lewis & Partners apps team started a new exiting project "Be Inspired". The goal was to evolve the John Lewis iOS app from a purely transactional shopping tool into a more inspiring experience. We launched “Be Inspired”, bringing aspirational content from social media directly into the app’s home screen. The challenge was to integrate this content in a way that felt natural within the app without disrupting the core shopping journey

DESIGN APPROACH
I led the visual design, creating a scalable layout that allowed inspirational content to sit naturally alongside key shopping features while maintaining the premium John Lewis aesthetic.
The feature was rolled out in stages, allowing us to use user research and engagement data to refine the experience and improve how users interacted with the content.
Designed a scalable framework that combined editorial content with core retail features, rolled out iteratively and refined using engagement data. The design framework and style guide enabled marketing and social teams to publish content independently while staying aligned with the app’s design system.
